  Starting from this year, South Korea’s largest import country may change from Japan to China.
The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy (MOCIE) stated today: China’s total imports to South Korea, as of the first half of this year, grew 36%, surpassing America and Japan. This number may make China South Korea’s leading import country.
  In the first two quarters of this year (ended June 20th), South Korea imported a total of USD$287.039 billion from China , resulting in a staggering 36.3% when compared to the same period last year.
In the same period as this year, South Korea imported a total of USD$265.076 billion from Japan, resulting in a 10.4%.
